We Can Help You!

Stateside Assignment is an opportunity for us to return to the USA to visit family, friends, and churches. During this time, we particpate in several "On-Mission Conferences" which are missions celebrations generally hosted by a group of churches. It is a great time to meet new people and share the exciting things God is doing all around the world.

We also take time to communicate our work and our experiences to individual churches, inviting them to participate through praying, giving, and going. But we also wish to mobilize churches to do mission right in their own communities--their own mission field. Because we are from the Maryland/Pennsylvania area, we have prioritized churches in our region of the country.

Ways You Can Use the Armacost Family

Most missionaries are invited to preach in a Sunday morning worship service. We are happy to share in this way. But keep in mind there are lots of other ways we could be used, either in place of or in addition to preaching on Sunday. Here are some options for you to consider:

• Invite us to participate in one or more of your small groups, Sunday school classes, or house churches.
• Hold an informal missions emphasis at someone's home. Have a barbecue or light meal, and let us talk interactively with everyone who comes: sort of a "fireside chat" event.
• Consider interviewing us, either before the sermon (or even in place of it), or as part of a special missions event.
• Hold an "Aussie night" with Australian food, music, and decor. Consider opening it up to the public, as lots of people are fascinated by Australian culture!
• Plan a family game show night featuring the old TV game show called Hollywood Squares. Remember that program? We call our version Australia Squares, using questions about Australian culture, history, and geography. This is a great activity for all ages, and you are guaranteed to learn lots about Australia!
• Schedule a training intensive on a mission-related topic in which we can train people in your church. We have expertise and experience in a wide range of topics which would fit your church and prepare your people for mission right in your community.
